Grant helps County Drains get a better picture with CCTV survey equipment!

County Drains (Leicester) Ltd were delighted to be awarded an Enterprising North West Leicestershire grant for £6,820 in November.

The company used the grant to help towards the purchase of two new CCTV drainage survey units and high pressure jetting system, the new equipment will allow the company to grow its team in Coalville and offer more professional drainage solutions to homes and businesses throughout Leicestershire and the East Midlands.

The CCTV surveying equipment is used by County Drains to investigate and identify drainage problems, working with domestic clients and commercial and industrial clients. The high pressure jetting equipment will help to keep the drains of North West Leicestershire clean and clear from blockages.

County Drains currently employs 21 people. The new equipment will allow the business to expand, recruiting three new members of staff and securing the future of one current role. This in turn will increase the range and quality of services offered by the company and grow its turnover.

Councillor Richard Blunt, Leader of North West Leicestershire District Council, said: “It’s extremely pleasing to see the Enterprising North West Leicestershire grants being used to expand local businesses and, importantly, to employ more local people.

“The grants aim to support small and local companies to grow and I’m pleased that the funding has contributed to the plans that County Drains have in terms of expansion and being a larger local employer.”

Rob McClumpha, Sales and Marketing Manager at County Drains Ltd added: “This funding has allowed County Drains to expand and replace CCTV surveying equipment and a high pressure jetting unit significantly quicker than if we had of done it alone. This latest equipment is already making a significant difference to both ourselves and our clients and allowing us to continue growing within North West Leicestershire. New jobs have already been created and the future’s looking bright."
